
Pastor Tony Serbousek
Pastor Tony was appointed to the Saint Francis UMC beginning in July 2020. He grew up in Nebraska in the northwest part of the state. For nearly 30 years Pastor Tony has served various churches in Nebraska, Colorado and North Dakota. After moving back from North Dakota in 2002, he went on a different career path for over 15 years as 911 Communications Director for the Chadron Police Dept. in Chadron, NE. While in that position, he was active in the local UMC, teaching Sunday School and helping with a college campus ministry. He was also organist for Immanuel Lutheran Church for nearly 15 years. After a journey that took 20 years to complete, Tony graduated from Iliff School of Theology in Denver CO in 2019 with a Master of Divinity degree. He most recently served from 2018-2020 as pastor to the Twin Rivers United Methodist Parish of Silver Creek, Monroe and Genoa NE before coming to Saint Francis. He is currently a Provisional Elder in the Great Plains Conference (GPC) of the United Methodist Church. He serves the GPC as a member of the Committee on Native American Ministries (CoNAM).
In his spare time, Pastor Tony enjoys reading, playing music, traveling, model railroading, photography, cooking and spending time with family and friends. In addition to being our pastor, he also serves on the board of the Cheyenne County Community Foundation and is the secretary for the Saint Francis Ministerial Alliance.
